Christ In Us, Christ To Others
WHO WE ARE: We are a diverse group of Christians who are passionate about God and His word and seek to serve God with all our hearts. Our desire is to please our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, who said: “By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” Our goal is to be more and more like Him, and to love like He loves, not only our church family, but also all those around us who are lost and hurting. We believe in the authority of scripture and its relevance for our lives today. Our desire is to continually learn how to apply scriptures to our lives, remaining faithful in interpretation and diligent in study. We believe the words of the Bible that tell us Jesus is the Son of God who lived here on this earth and died for our sins. We believe in the resurrection of Jesus. We believe that through baptism the blood of Jesus cleanses us from all our sins and that the gift of the Holy Spirit is received as a guarantee of our eternal home and inheritance. We believe in the indwelling gift of the Holy Spirit, who guides, teaches, and inspires. We believe in the church universal but also in the importance of being involved with a local body of believers who love, share, and build each other up. We strongly believe in the value of all God’s children. We encourage the discovery of our God-given gifts, and in our assemblies utilize the gifts of all His people regardless of age, gender, ethnic origin, or socio-economic status. We endeavor to build each other up by sharing personal experiences of God’s work in our lives as well as in more formal ways. We meet together often for study, worship, and encouragement. We believe worship continues apart from regular meeting times, demonstrated in lives that are devoted to honoring our Father by being Jesus to the world around us today—lives full of love, service, and sacrifice. We believe that God bestows His gifts on each one of us, and that if we each do what God has given us to do, we will be His instruments of light in this dark world. Come and join us. “Taste and see that the Lord, He is good!”
